JoyaBrava is a non-profit trade union association that gathers more than 30 contemporary Chilean jewellers, who work the jewellery as a means of artistic expression,  investigating and experimenting with materials, concepts and processes.

DANIELA RIVERA

She made her first formal studies of jewelry in the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Chile, where she graduated with a mention in goldsmithing. In 2006, during a trip to Mexico, she attends the National School of Fine Arts of the UNAM in Taxco where she deepens her technical knowledge in goldsmithing and connects with a deep interest in Latin America and its identities. In 2010, she decided to study Industrial Design, a career that opened a world of technical and material possibilities that she decided on in a project that blends these two great interests, contemporary jewelry and Latin American identity, whose results were exhibited in Mexico in 2016 in an art gallery together with other artists of different nationalities and disciplines.

"I see contemporary jewelry as a means of expression that is not limited to any material or technique, I believe that it should generate a link with the user and challenge it to question itself, it is a means of artistic, visual, discursive and portable expression" .
